Despite COVID, to the end of July, the Town has issued 45 permits for a valve of $3,830,735. The Town has an opening for a full time Development Officer. This position will work as part of the Planning and Development team to guide and evaluate applications for development, subdivision and land use bylaw amendments and acts as a resource to the public, other staff and the Municipal Planning Commission. The incumbent will also be responsible for the application and interpretation of the Land Use Bylaw and other statutory planning documents.
- Post Secondary education in Land Use Planning, Development or related disciplines
- Prior or current membership or in the Alberta Development Officers Association
- Minimum of 5 years direct municipal planning and development experience
- Working knowledge of Part 17 of the Alberta Municipal Government Act and municipal planning documents
- Experience using Microsoft Office, and GIS systems
A combination of experience and education maybe considered equivalent.
