Operations Maintenance Worker

Job Type:
Regular Full Time

This position is responsible for operating a variety of tools, trucks and heavy equipment. The Operations Maintenance Worker may build, operate, maintain and improve public works infrastructure; perform traffic control, grass cutting, snow and ice removal, and road work; respond to public works emergencies affecting the community; as well as other project work, as required.

Please note that employment with the City of Port Moody is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory police records check and also a satisfactory driver’s abstract. 


  • Grade 12 supplemented with minimum one year of labouring experience including machinery operation, truck driving, landscaping, construction, and / or public works
  • A valid Class 3 BC driver’s license with air endorsement;
  • Experience and training with small equipment such as weed eater, blower, jackhammer, compactor, pumps
  • Sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform manual work outdoors
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers and members of the public
